In February, Canadian rock star Bryan Adams brought his Room Service tour to Doha, Qatar, organized as part of the charity campaign “Reach Out to Asia.” This initiative, promoted by the Emirate’s daughter, aimed to raise funds for tsunami victims. The Bryan Adams concert, managed by Qatar Vision, featured a stunning 90-minute show at Al Sadd Stadium. Qatar Vision handled the supply and installation of all audio-visual equipment and stage construction over three days. The lighting system, comprising Clay Paky equipment, included 150 moving heads projectors, notably the Alpha Spot HPE 575 series. The concert, adorned with prestigious technical materials, showcased a Guinness World Record event where a guitar signed by legendary guitarists was auctioned for £1.6 million, contributing to the campaign’s total of $10.7 million.

Qatar Vision successfully orchestrated the Qatar Football Association Award Ceremony with a creative show using 150 Clay Paky moving lights. Despite the tight timeframe—three weeks from the initial call—the team, led by Sharif Hashisho, managed to design and produce an engaging event in the Aspire Dome. The transformation of the venue included a Red Carpet entry catwalk, a cocktail reception area, and a main show area. The stage featured a 360-degree simultaneous projection using Christie projectors, while the lighting setup comprised 150 Clay Paky lights and 150 conventional lights from DeSisti for broadcast. The event honored sports personalities and was attended by prominent figures in football.

Qvision, led by Managing Director Sharif Hashisho, organized the annual four-night Eid Fireworks show in Qatar. The event, preceded by live stage shows attended by over 5,000 people each night, featured a spectacular 15-minute fireworks display. Hashisho highlighted the extensive planning involved, starting more than two months in advance, including obtaining approvals from the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Environment. The show used high-quality fireworks imported from Spain and China, with each shell placed in a mortar tube, synchronized to music, and subject to postshow checks by authorities. A total of 1,800 shells were fired up on each of the four nights.

The event took place during Qatar National Day and marked two years until the FIFA World Cup final in Qatar. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the stadium operated at 50% capacity with strict health and safety measures, including COVID-19 testing for attendees. The opening ceremony, inspired by Arabic poetry, was conceptualized by Sharif Hashisho, Qvision’s managing director. The MA system controlled 150 moving lights, contributing to the spectacular show for both the stadium and TV audience.

Qatar Vision (Qvision) collaborated with VLS to present an eight-minute projection-mapped light show featuring the Anooki characters at the Qatar Foundation in Doha. The event utilized 60 Claypaky K-EYE K20 HCR LED wash lights to illuminate Penrose House. The Inuit-inspired Anooki characters, known for their animated shows globally, conveyed an environmental sustainability theme, emphasizing the impact of global warming. The lighting installation aimed to create a warm wash on the building’s façade, synchronized with the show content and music, using Claypaky’s reliable and versatile fixtures. The event attracted over 7,500 participants during its six-day run.

QVision utilized Claypaky Scenius Unico, Hepikos, and Sharpy Plus fixtures for infotainment during matches and the coronation ceremony, crowning Bayern Munich as the champion. The company’s managing director, Sharif Hashisho, praised Claypaky’s reliability, brightness, and versatility for creating synchronized light and music shows. A total of 80 Claypaky moving lights, including Scenius Unicos, Hepikos, and Sharpy Plus, were strategically positioned for optimal visibility, providing various effects for a spectacular event. The ceremony, held under strict health and safety protocols due to the pandemic, featured an opening inspired by Arabic poetry, with a poetic riddle presented through dialogue between Qatari poets. QVision managed the technical aspects, including a 120m x 65m screen for 3D field mapping, projections with 20 Christie projectors, and lighting with Claypaky fixtures. The event included a fireworks display, special effects, and rigorous COVID-19 safety measures for both workers and attendees.

The lighting design, featuring precise framing and vibrant effects, contributed to the dynamic set. The awards were given for the Qatar 2022 emblem launch and the inauguration of both Al Janoub and Ahmad Bin Ali stadiums. The organization won two gold awards, three silver, and two bronze medals. The Eventex Awards, celebrating creativity, innovation, and effectiveness in the events and experiential marketing industry, received 561 entries from 37 countries this year.

The events occurred during Qatar National Day, two years before the FIFA World Cup final. With health and safety measures due to COVID-19, the stadium operated at 50% capacity, and attendees had to provide a positive COVID-19 antibodies test or a negative test. The opening ceremony, conceptualized by Sharif Hashisho, featured a poetic riddle presented through a dialogue between two Qatari poets. Qvision provided technical elements, including projectors, lighting, audio systems, and special effects. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the event was deemed a success with a thorough risk assessment approach ensuring safety for workers and attendees.

Qatar Vision Production Company (Qvision) secured the bid from FIFA for the development, production, and management of the FIFA Arab Cup™ 2021 Final Draw. The draw was held at Doha’s Katara Opera House, where 23 Arab nations participating in the tournament were divided into groups for the last 16 stage. Qvision provided technical elements such as stage set and decoration, rigging, audio, lighting, video, and motion graphics, and was responsible for creating guest-related areas, hospitality services, media zones, television production areas, FIFA office spaces, and the official gala dinner. The draw ceremony showcased a range of audio, visual, lighting, and communications equipment, including high-resolution LED screens, Claypaky lighting fixtures, Meyer Sound audio systems, Shure wireless microphones, and Clear-Com intercom systems.
